About Excel AI App

Excel AI App is a spreadsheet analytics platform that helps people get answers from their data without wrestling with formulas. Upload an Excel or CSV file and it detects outliers, builds pivot tables, writes formulas from plain English, and generates Smart BI dashboards — with your data kept in a private sandbox, never used to train public models.

Why we publish free tools and guides

Most spreadsheet problems are small and specific: “what’s the right VLOOKUP here?”, “is this number an outlier?” We build free tools and guides that solve those directly — no sign-up, no upload — because being genuinely useful is the honest way to earn trust.

How we test what we publish

• Formulas are verified in both Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets before we publish them.
• Statistical methods (Z-score, IQR) follow standard, textbook definitions, and our tools compute them the same way Excel’s own functions do.
• Tools run in your browser. The generators and analyzers on this site process data locally — nothing is uploaded.
• We update dated guidance as Excel, Google Sheets, and AI search features change.

Our stance on your data

In the app, uploaded files are parsed in a secure sandbox, processed in-memory, and are not used to train public LLMs. Our on-site tools don’t transmit your data at all. If you handle confidential information, we encourage you to verify any tool’s privacy policy before uploading — a standard we hold ourselves to.

Who writes this

Our guides are written by Philip Bison (Ghost Writer), working with the Excel AI App team. Philip Bison is a freelance writer and ghostwriter covering spreadsheets, data, and productivity software.
